Diagon Alley (Cecil Court)

In the wizarding world Diagon Alley, seen throughout the Harry Potter films, is a bustling street. The latest brooms are for sale, wizard authors give book signings and young Hogwarts students acquire their school supplies – cauldrons, quills, robes, wands and brooms.

There are two contenders in London for the REAL Diagon Alley. Many Potter fans are split between the two. Fortunately, both are very centrally located near Leicester Square, Cecil Court and Goodwin’s Court.

On this section of your Harry Potter in London journey you will discover a magicians emporium, that may well have provided the inspiration for Diagon Alley.

Cecil Court is lined with bookshops and antiquarian storefronts. Because of its association with magical literature and bric-a-brac, many believe that this is the REAL Diagon Alley.
